Executive Director @ Epicurean Charitable Foundation
Founded in May of 2001, Epicurean Charitable Foundation is comprised of more than 25 top hospitality executives who are dedicated to enriching the lives of deserving local students passionate about a career in hospitality or culinary arts. ECF students are developed to succeed in their future employment with comprehensive work force development programs that provide university tuition and books, unique one-on-one mentoring, networking opportunities, leadership guidance and etiquette development.
The Epicurean Charitable Foundation is changing the lives for at-risk students. ECF works in partnership with the Clark County School District to seek out exceptional students committed to furthering their education and skills in hospitality and culinary arts. The average family income of our previous freshman class is just $25,348 and has a combined average weighted GPA of 4.46. In recent years, ECF’s college graduation rate has been an astounding 85%.
In order to provide full-ride UNLV scholarships, ECF holds an annual grand gala dine-around. As the 2018-2019 school year approaches, ECF is preparing yet another cohort of deserving young people and is currently inviting the community to join in on the fun in Hamptons-style at ECF’s annual fundraiser: Mentoring and Educating Nevada’s Upcoming Students (M.E.N.U.S.) 2018: Rosé Soirée. M.E.N.U.S. 2018: Rosé Soirée will be held on Friday, Oct. 12 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Paradise Pool from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will feature more than 50 Las Vegas restaurants, chefs, mixologists and beverage distributors. Singer-songwriterMat Kearney will headline the event, performing hits including “Nothing Left to Lose” and “Heartbeat”. Guests will enjoy a gourmet dine-around, a large silent auction and a memorable after-party. Attendees are encouraged to dress in festive pink and white attire.
